Sawmill Square Mall is celebrating its 35th anniversary in Laurel this weekend with music Saturday followed by the annual fireworks show, which is scheduled to begin at 9:15 p.m.
The mall event coincides with the business’ opening on July 1, 1981. Since then, much around Laurel has changed, but the mall has been a constant.
