Bahan:
2 sdm minyak sayur
6 siung bawang putih, iris tipis
2 buah cabai merah, iris tipis, buang bijinya
450 gr daging sapi giling
Garam kosher secukupnya
Lada hitam bubuk secukupnya
120 ml kaldu ayam
375 gr basil
2 buah wortel berukuran sedang, parut kasar
2 buah daun bawang, iris tipis
4 sdm air jeruk nipis
2 sdm kecap
1 sdm kecap ikan
1 sdr gula pasir
Nasi secukupnya untuk penyajian
Irisan jeruk nipis secukupnya untuk penyajian
Cara membuat thai beef basil:
1. Panaskan satu sendok makan minyak. Masukkan bawang putih dan satu buah cabai. Masak sambil diaduk hingga harum selama 30 detik. Tambahkan daging sapi, bumbui dengan merica dan garam.
Masak kembali hingga matang, lebih kurang 8-10 menit. Tambahkan kaldu dan 250 gram basil. Aduk selama dua menit.
2. Campur wortel, daun bawang, satu sendok makan jeruk nipis, sisa cabai, minyak, dan daun kemangi dalam mangkuk kecil.
3. Tambahkan kecap, kecap ikan, gula pasir, dan sisa air jeruk nipis dalam mangkuk lainnya. Aduk hingga gula larut.
4. Sajikan nasi dengan daging sapi dan selada di atasnya, siram dengan saus. Hidangkan bersama irisan jeruk nipis.
