PUBG Mobile umumkan informasi detail terkait PMWI 2023.(Dok PUBG Mobile)
KOMPAS.com -PUBG Mobile secara resmi membagikan informasi detail mengenai PUBG Mobile World Invitational (PMWI) 2023 yang digerakkan oleh Gamers8—festival gaming dan esports terbesar di dunia, Rabu (26/4/2023).
Total, ada 18 tim yang akan mengikuti tahap pertama turnamen, PMWI Allstars Stage, terhitung 11-13 Juli 2023. Penyeleksian ditentukan oleh voting bagi penggemar dan beberapa direct invitation.
Agenda selanjutnya adalah PMWI Main Tournament yang dimulai 14-16 Juli 2023. Padaagendaini, ada 16 tim yang berpartisipasi. Mereka adalah yang berhasil lolos dari kejuaraan regional masing-masing, yakni lima tim teratas dari PMWI Allstars Stage, bersama dengan beberapa tim yang diundang langsung.
“Aksi untuk PMWI 2023 dimulai pada 11 Juli 2023 dengan tahap PMWI Allstars yang menempatkan 18 tim paling populer di dunia untuk bertanding dalam tiga hari persaingan yang intens. Kemudian, 14 tim yang lolos akan dipilih melalui PMWI Allstars Vote,” ujar pihak PUBG Mobile dalam rilis yang diterima Kompas.com, Rabu.
Pihak PUBG Mobile menambahkan, setiap tim terpilih akan bergabung dengan empat tim yang diundang oleh PUBG Mobile, yakni dari Korea Selatan, Jepang, Arab Saudi, dan satu undangan khusus.

“Selain bersaing demi kebanggaan, lima tim teratas dari Allstars Stage juga akan lolos ke tahap berikutnya, yaitu Main Tournament PMWI,” tambahnya.
Berlangsung dari 14 Juli-16 Juli 2023, PMWI Main Tournament akan melihat setiap tim dari empat juara regional dari PUBG Mobile Pro League (PMPL) dan dua tim teratas PUBG Mobile Super Legue Asia Tenggara (PMSL SEA) bertarung melawan lima tim teratas PMWI
Adapun Allstars terdiri dari undangan dari China—dua tim teratas dari 2023 Peacekeeper Elite League (PEL) Spring), Jepang/Korea Selatan—sebagai hasil dari PUBG MOBILE Showdown 2023: Korea vs Japan, juara Saudi Esports League Champion Twisted Minds dan satu undangan khusus dari total 16 tim yang berpartisipasi.
“Dalam persaingan musim panas yang mendebarkan antara tim-tim paling sukses dan populer dalam PUBG Mobile Esports, setiap tim akan berjuang untuk menjadi juara PMWI dan memenangkan 3 juta dollar AS,” Tambah pihak PBUG Mobile.
Perlu diketahui, PMWI digelar di Riyadh dalam delapan minggu mulai Juli hingga September 2023. Adapun total hadiah yang disiapkan penyelenggara adalah 45 juta dollar AS. Ada 11 jenis game dengan lebih drai 300 turnamen disiapkan.
