Politics and law enforcement. The two shouldn’t be related. But there’s no denying their link, at the federal, state and local level. It’s more pronounced now than ever.
Conventional wisdom says that if law enforcement does its job right, the politics will work out. But in this age of knee-jerk reactions and forums to express them, there often aren’t a lot of thoughtful, insightful comments on the subject. Most people show either total trust or a complete lack of trust in law enforcement. Neither is healthy. And neither is accurate.
