A semi-truck and a white 2017 GMC Sierra pickup truck were involved in a collision on U.S. 27 at Harbor Drive, which occurred just before 7:30 p.m. south of Lake Wales. The collision took place on the highway. These bad occurrences began with this one, which was the first of them to take place. According to the findings of the official inquiry, the original incident was caused by a U-turn maneuver that was performed by the driver of the semi-truck, a man from Ocala who was 34 years old and was heading northbound on U.S. 27.
