Academic pursuits led him first to Brigham Young University then later to UC-Irvine where he completed an MBA laying the groundwork for future success both professionally.

In his final months he found great comfort from visiting with family and friends as well as watching sports events while eating homemade treats brought great comfort and joy for himself and those close to him.

In memory of Flyn, his life was celebrated through public visitations on July 23, 2021 at Larkin Sunset Gardens in Sandy and funeral services were held the next day at Corner Canyon 5th Ward meetinghouse in Draper with additional visitations prior to funeral services. Flyn was laid to rest at Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery after her life left an indelible imprint of love, laughter, and lasting memories behind.
