Diablo Immortal Hits Rock Bottom On Metacritic

Diablo Immortal was set to become the latest and greatest Diablo title on mobile and PC, however, the launch was marred by a plethora of issues relating to microtransactions. The anger towards the game is clearly reflected in its Metacritic score, scoring a mere 0.5 on the User Score.

The user score is based on reviews from over 1,700 users, many of whom criticised the game as "disgraceful," a "gambling simulator," and "insanely predatory."

This is Blizzard's third-lowest user review score to date. Warcraft 3: Reforged has a rating of "0.6" out of a total of 30,923 votes. World of Warcraft: Burning Crusade Classic has a rating of "0.5" out of 367. The reasons for the reaction include gacha systems, heavy grinding which may be reduced by throwing cash at the screen, a plethora of microtransactions, and an allegedly predatory business model.

For example, players can only obtain three Legendary Chests each month, unless they play a boatload of cash. And even then, these chests won’t even let you get whatever you want, instead, rewards are randomised.

According to Forbes, players only have a 0.05% chance of getting a five-star Gem for each Legendary Crest used.

Ok hold up, am I understanding this correctly for Immortal

Once you get a legendary gem to rank 10 you can further enhance that gem and its item’s power to the next level (Awakening) which needs a mat that literally only comes from the store for $15?

Bruh tell me this is wrong

While Diablo Immortal is a totally F2P game, the structure of the game is built in a way that players need to spend huge sums of cash in order to maximise their character.
