Betty Frost Obituary, Death Cause – Betty Gail Frost, a resident of Mocksville, North Carolina, went to be with her Lord and Savior on July 17, 2023, the day she passed away. She passed away at the Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, under mysterious circumstances. It was only by the grace of God that she did not have to endure her illness for an especially lengthy period of time, and that she was able to spend her final moments surrounded by each of her four children.
Annie and Ernest Frost welcomed Betty into the world on January 29, 1934 in Mocksville, North Carolina. She was preceded in death by her parents as well as her four sisters, Katherine Bunch, Louise Daigle, Ernestine Kincaid, and Anne Frost. Her grandparents also passed away before her. Betty had a lot of affection for her sisters, and she spent a lot of time with them at family gatherings. Betty received her nursing degree from Forsyth Technical College after graduating from both Mocksville High School and Forsyth Technical College. Because she felt very strongly about assisting other people, she pursued a lengthy career, first at the Lynn Haven Nursing Home, then at the Wake Forest Baptist Hospital, and last at Oak Summit, where she worked until her retirement at age 75.
Gardening was one of Betty’s favorite activities, and her favorite flowers to grow were roses. She was a Master Gardener and contributed her time at the Mocksville Garden Club, both of which she was a member of. Betty was an active member of the First United Methodist Church in Mocksville, North Carolina, and one of her favorite things to do there was to participate in the adult Sunday school class alongside many of her other close friends. Betty has a deep love for her family. She is survived by her sons, Mark Ellis of Mocksville, NC, Tim Ellis (Shari) of Raleigh, NC, and Brent Ellis (Lucia) of Mocksville, NC; her daughter, Kim Towery (Scott) of Lewisville, NC; and a large number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mark Ellis lives in Mocksville, North Carolina. Tim Ellis lives in Raleigh, North Carolina. Brent Ellis lives in Mocksville, North Carolina.
