QUITO, KOMPAS.com - Jaksa penuntut Ekuador meluncurkan penyelidikan terhadap distribusi video yang dihasilkan lewat kecerdasan buatan atau artificial intelligence (AI).
Video porno tersebut menunjukkan konten seksual dengan menggunakan foto-foto siswa.
Kantor Kejaksaan Ekuador mengatakan di X, penyelidikan telah dibuka menyusul adanya penyebaran foto dan video siswa dari sebuah lembaga pendidikan di Quito yang dimodifikasi menggunakan AI.
Para tersangka pelaku memanipulasi foto-foto para remaja dengan menaruh wajah mereka di atas tubuh telanjang orang lain.
Sybel Martinez dari program anti-bullying Grupo Rescate Escolar mengatakan, ada sekitar 700 video dengan konten seksual dan erotis yang melibatkan foto atau gambar dari 20 hingga 24 siswa.
Mendistribusikan pornografi anak dan remaja dapat dihukum hingga 16 tahun penjara di Ekuador.
Sebagaimana dikutip dari AFP, investigasi di Ekuador ini dilakukan menyusul sebuah insiden di Spanyol di mana foto-foto bugil anak perempuan di bawah umur yang dibuat oleh AI disebarkan.
Kemunculan AI memang telah menyebabkan kekhawatiran yang berkembang di seluruh dunia bahwa teknologi ini dapat digunakan untuk tujuan jahat seperti pembuatan apa yang disebut "deepfakes".
Ini adalah foto dan video yang dibuat oleh komputer, seringkali realistis, berdasarkan template nyata.
Berdasarkan sebuah studi tahun 2019 oleh perusahaan AI Belanda, Sensity, sekitar 96 persen video deepfake yang beredar di dunia maya adalah pornografi non-konsensual, dan sebagian besar di antaranya menampilkan perempuan.
